Communities Rally to Support Monomonac Hill Conservation Project
We are all connected by water and the forested lands through which it flows. This connection is on full display as community members and lake associations from across state borders join together to protect 200+ acres on the south shore of Lake Monomonac. With $580k of the $757k goal already raised, we still need $177k to finish this project and protect this special place in perpetuity.
The uncooperative weather didn’t hinder plans to get the word out about this important project – even as the annual boat parade was cancelled, one important message was carried around the lake – SaveMonomonac.org. Mount Grace and North County Land Trust decorated this lake association member’s boat with critters from the water, land, and sky who will all benefit from the conservation of this critical habitat.
