Protected Farms

Farm conservation is a key part of Mount Grace’s overall strategy for land protection.  Protecting a farm not only saves open space, but also keeps local jobs and income in the rural economy.

Mount Grace has always taken an active role in conserving New England farms, including Red Apple Farm in Phillipston, the historic Bascom Hollow Farm in Gill, and The Farm School in Orange.  Projects like these support local farmers, help keep our food locally grown, and help train the next generation of farmers the ways of sustainable farming.

You can connect to some of the local farms we’ve protected below.  Please note that not all farms have websites.  You can also learn more about our new Campaign for Affordable Farms project in partnership with Red Fire Farm.
