Tree ID walk at Masson Ridge

Join Adventure East in exploring the living world of Masson Ridge. The 185-acre property, located in west Northfield, MA, was put under a “forever wild” conservation restriction with Mount Grace Land Conservation Trust back in 2007. Since that time the owners of the land, Bill and Christine Copeland, have made connections with local environmental groups, educators, schools and colleges to encourage educational and low impact recreational uses of the land’s vernal pools, healthy stands of large trees, and diverse animal and plant populations.

On this adventure you will be guided by naturalist William Randolph through this established forest to become better acquainted with this distinctive tree population. Shoe spikes will be provided if needed along with warm beverages to make this a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
